Docking in Fluid Bed allows you to lift more and heavier ships. Docking in Fluid Bed eliminate peakloads, i.e. distribute shiploads over a larger area, which again takes away high loads on winches.

A Syncrolift shiplift can tilt platform to accomodate for ships with uneven keel such as Trawlers, Tugs etc. by its asyncronous motors. The advantage of this is - avoid Sueloads while docking and avoid having to block transfer system in an angle. The platform can also be listed in case of a damaged vessel.
